I’ve written many times in recent months about the IHG Priceless Surprises promo.
In the promo you can earn entries by completing hotel stays or by mailing in your entries. The mail-in option has proved to be quite popular and many people are earning IHG points cheaply.
Each entry costs around .50¢ (around $47 total) if you add up the cost of a stamp, envelope and index card. The minimum prize you can win is 500 points with some rather large points prizes, gift cards and trips also being given away. On November 15, the IHG Priceless Surprises promo started. The main way to enter is by completing a qualifying stay.
However, a more popular and cheaper way to get all 94 of the entries has been by handwriting and mailing in entry forms which. The cost to enter this way comes out to around $47 and the time (and pain) it takes to write out the entries. All mail entries must be postmarked by February 15, 2016.

Since the second night free benefit went away, I haven’t booked any nights or tried overly hard to earn Club Carlson points.
I used quite a few of our Club Carlson points during our trip to the Mid-East Gulf States. I still have a few more stays booked using the second night free benefit and still a healthy chunk of Gold Points although they won’t really go very far anymore.

On January 6, 26,500 IHG points posted from the IHG Priceless Surprises promo.
Later that day I received 20 more prize e-mails. Then around a week later, another 11 prize e-mails arrived!
While it took a lot of painful work to enter the contest (handwriting isn’t my thing), it’s been well worth the $45 give or take that I spent to enter. Spirit Airlines is known for bizarre sales and promos where they tie-in (make fun of) current events.
The promo that stands out most was when Spirit made fun of politician Anthony Weiner’s sexting scandal. A little over a year back they also had the State of the Hate Report where they were giving away up to 1,000,000,000.
