The Rehash!

Are any of you still thinking about what was lost with the Club Carlson second night free benefit going away last week? I am!

While I made a bunch of bookings, there seemed to be some that got away… I was hoping to spend at least a couple of night at the Radisson Blu 1919 in Reykjavik and also check out the Radisson Aruba Resort (among others).

After spending over 400,000 Gold Points I still have quite a bit left. I’m sure they’ll get value somewhere down the line, just not as much as I would’ve hoped for.

We’re slowly finishing off trip planning for a bunch of upcoming adventures. It might be time for us to work on the one coming up at the end of June!

How has your week in travel, miles and points gone for you?

Now it’s time for a look back at some of this past weeks posts in a recap that I like to call The Rehash!

There isn’t much time left if you’re first reading about this offer now- ending today: save $20 when paying with OpenTable App.

I don’t know about you, but this would probably scare the sh*t out of most. A plane filled with fog scaring passengers.

If I happen to be in the area, I’d like to stop by. The last Howard Johnson’s restaurant as an unlikely tourist destination.

For those of you with kids, looking for a new car- Parents & Edmunds.com name 10 Best Family Cars 2015.

I can’t imagine how this stunt actually worked for a while. A woman claimed to be a UN diplomat conned hotels and restaurants.

What do you think of the SPG credit card changes- $30 fee increase worth the perks?

I wonder how much demand for stays this would get… I came across a Kickstarter campaign for a bizarre hotel.

Duct tape has tons of uses… Did an airline fix a plane with duct tape?

Lucas wants to go back here really badly. It’s just hard to find the time to go. Diggerland Construction Theme Park’s 1st anniversary event is coming up.

TripAdvisor readers came up with an interesting list for The Top 25 Landmarks in the world. Which do you feel deserved to be included?

This sounds like a really smart idea- Carnival to offer voluntourism option on cruises.

On that note, I hope that everyone has a great week. Make sure to keep checking back for daily new posts here at Michael W Travels!
