Best On Time Airport, America’s Best Airline, Three Years Old- 20 Countries Visited, Two Passengers On Delta Flight, Targeted Offers & More-The Rehash!

Rehash

Overall this has been a pretty uneventful week when it comes to travel, miles and points. Once I’m done completing the required spend on my Amex Gold Business card, I hope to find some good offers to start applying for to start this new year off right.

We’re almost done finalizing the plans for our first trip of 2015. With the expiration date closing in on my Marriott free night reward certificate, I was glad to make real use of it. I got the free night from the Marriott Rewards credit card. Being that it’s only good for a category 1-4 hotel, it became a bit of a pain to figure out how to get the best value and the most useful stay.

Now it’s time to look back at some posts from this past week in a recap that I like to call The Rehash!

They seem to always be making the news… 5 of 6 Uber Bases Shut Down (and Re-Open) in NYC. In other Uber news, I decided to run a poll about a topic that many tend to have strong opinions about. Check out my Poll: Is Uber’s Surge Pricing Fair?

Here are the Best airports for on-time performance. After reading a post on Alaska Airline’s blog, I wondered Is Alaska the best airline in America?  They seem to get rave reviews from some readers.

Tomorrow is the first of the National Parks Fee- Free Days for 2015.

If you have Membership Rewards points that you’re looking to transfer, you can get a 40% bonus to Avios until the end of this month. I recently Transferred: Amex Points To BA Avios, Bonus Mostly Spent.

Could you imagine flying like this? A Delta Flight With Just TWO Passengers Onboard

One week ago we celebrated with a big Happy 3rd B-Day for Lucas! 49,000+ miles flown in 2014- the journey continues. He’s already been to 20 countries! So proud.

I’m a big fan of food markets, halls and events. I’ll be looking forward to checking out Anthony Bourdain’s food hall, set to open in NYC in 2015.

I received a few targeted offers this week. (One was actually for Lucas!)

Here they are:

Another card just became an option to use while traveling outside the US. There is now No foreign transactions fees with the US Airways MasterCard.

And for those of you that enjoy a drink during the flight, Cheers! New beer is being offered on Southwest.

I hope that everyone has a great. Make sure to keep checking back for daily new posts here at Michael W Travels!
