Machu Picchu Reopened To Tourists Last Weekend!

Machu Picchu Kim and I visited Peru and the amazing Machu Picchu around 12-13 years. It’s a destination that we’d love to visit again in the future with our kids.

Machu Picchu has been closed to tourists for quite some time (around eight months) but it recently reopened!

More Alternate Routes To Machu Picchu Being Created This Year


Machu PicchuMachu Picchu, Peru would probably rank as one of Kim and my favorite sites which we’ve visited around the world.

When visiting this incredible UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can either hike there or take a train (most of the way). Kim and I took the train from Ollantaytambo.

There are loads of things that interest me when it comes to travel. One of my favorite places to visit happen to be crypts, catacombs and other morbid/ ghoulish sites.

During a trip to Peru which was around 4-5 years B.L. (Before Lucas), we had a long layover in Lima during our journey back home to New York. We had 6-7 hours to get out and explore a city which we had spent the first night of our trip at, but had no time to explore besides grabbing dinner right by our hotel.
