While many people love staying in New York City, Manhattan to be specific, I can’t say that I’ve ever had much of a need to do so.
Considering I live in Brooklyn which is around an hour to Manhattan on the train from where I live, why would there be a need to spend a night in NYC? (When I go into the city, I usually drive downtown and then hop on the train a few stops…)
On September 18, 2014 I was on a flight to Las Vegas for the BoardingArea Conference aka BAcon. While connected through Gogo, I came across a price mistake for the Omni Berkshire Place hotel, located in midtown Manhattan on Dan’s Deals.
Here is an amazing story that I had to share. It’s about a man, down on his luck that did the right thing and got rewarded for it in more ways than he could probably ever imagine.
A homeless man, Josh Hartman was dumpster diving for food when he found a tourist’s wallet with her ID and credit cards. Soon after, he set out to find the owner of the wallet. Hartman walked around downtown Atlanta, stopping into four hotels before learning that the owner was staying at the Omni Hotel at CNN Centerwhere he turned in the wallet to security.
