A Quick Visit to Northern Ireland and the Giant’s Causeway

Giant’s Causeway

In February 2017, the Michael W Travels family visited Ireland for the first time. While I would’ve liked to have had more time to see the country, we made sure to take one day-trip out of Dublin.

While debating where to go, Kim and I narrowed our choices down to the Cliffs of Moher or Giant’s Causeway.

After debating what our best option was (I don’t think either would be a bad choice), we decided on a trip to the Giant’s Causeway. This trip would take us to Northern Ireland which is actually part of the United Kingdom. Continue reading A Quick Visit to Northern Ireland and the Giant’s Causeway

A Family Visit to the Guinness Storehouse

Guinness Storehouse

While researching things to do during our trip to Ireland, there was one place that I knew we had to visit.

For years I’ve heard about the Guinness Storehouse, home to the iconic Guinness Brewery. It seemed that no trip (or at least first visit) to Ireland would not be complete without checking it out.

Since Kim and I enjoy visiting breweries and beer-related sites, we decided to stop by on the day we arrived in Ireland. Continue reading A Family Visit to the Guinness Storehouse

During our time there we visited the Guinness Storehouse. The brewery was very busy but we did get a chance to pour the perfect pint! Ouch! Theo’s Coach Lap Baby Ticket to Ireland Cost $350+!

The Michael W Travels Family recently got back from a quick trip to Ireland.

While I typically try to book our flights with miles and points, due to a cheap fare (and also no award flight availability) I bought the tickets for around $400 each.

At the time of booking I decided to not add Theo on as a lap baby. I figured that I could just add him on after. While this was never an issue while flying with Lucas as a lap baby, this would be a costly error on my part. Continue reading Ouch! Theo’s Coach Lap Baby Ticket to Ireland Cost $350+!

The Oddest Airline Passenger I’ve Ever Seen

airline passenger

The other day the Michael W Travels Family flew on Iberia Airlines to Madrid on the way to our final destination, Dublin, Ireland.

I have to say that Iberia did not impress me at all. I felt claustrophobic in the seat and customer service wasn’t great either. The movie options during the flight were crappy too, but at least the meal was tasty although a bit salty!

Soon after taking our seats, I turned around and noticed what might just be the oddest airline passenger that I’ve ever seen on a flight. Continue reading The Oddest Airline Passenger I’ve Ever Seen
