When I first saw the headline for this story- “Giant SOS Message Saves Marooned Snorkelers” I thought about Tom Hanks in Castaway and the television show Survivor.

A group of 5 snorkeling near the Whitsunday Islands in Australia were left stranded on a rocky island without food, water or cellphones after their anchored boat drifted away.

Should You Move To Australia? Take the Quiz

I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Australia. Kim and I went there on our honeymoon and had an amazing time visiting a good amount of the country. While we feel like we saw lots of great sites in a variety of areas, there is just so much that we didn’t get to check out.

Just to name a few- I’d love to visit Tasmania, Brisbane, Kangaroo Island, Fraser Island and more of the Outback.

Hopefully one of these years we’ll make it back OR maybe we should move there?

While checking out Twitter last week, I came across a tweet by Gary Arndt (@EverywhereTrip) which caught my interest. The tweet said “An easy sign to follow in Coober Pedy, South Australia”. A link to a daily travel photo that Gary had posted to his blog in 2010 was included.
