I recently posted a few year-end recap posts related to our year in things related to travel.

If you missed these posts, here are the links to them:

While thinking about my recaps, I realized that I missed one. In 2013, we flew for 5 domestic trips. We also took a few road trips during the year. I wanted to share some photos from these trips. Continue reading Jumping Around the U.S. in 2013

Miles & Points Earned from Credit Cards in 2013

Now that 2013 has come to a close, it’s time to tally up the miles and points that I’ve earned from credit card sign-up bonuses for the year.

While I’d consider 2013 to be a successful year once again, I ended up earning fewer miles & points from credit card sign up bonuses than I did during the previous two years. However, I supplemented my earnings by doing a little extra work. I took advantage of the 5X points bonus at office supply stores with my Chase Ink card, buying lots of gift cards. I also did a bit of manufactured spend, visiting CVS countless times to buy pre-paid cards.

  • 2012: 753,150 miles & points

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope that 2014 turns out to be a great one for all. Here’s to hoping for some big credit card offers and great trips to come in the future!

Yesterday I posted a recap of Where We Went in 2013

Where We Went In 2013

20132013 was an awesome and busy year of travel for Kim, Lucas and I.

While we don’t travel for work (all of our trips are for leisure), we still  managed to take 9 trips this year.

We visited a diverse mixture of countries and U.S. states, flying mainly with miles and points. (I haven’t included roadtrips in my totals.) We only paid for one of our flights due to it being such a good deal.

In case you’re interested in how how we used miles and points to pay for our flights, I’ve included links to my trip planning posts to each of the places we’ve visited.
