It’s been hard getting back into the swing of things after our long summer trip to the Pacific.

We’re back a little over a week now and I’m hoping to find a good deal on a flight since we currently have nothing planned. The Michael W Travels family made it back home after being delayed by close to 30 hours. This caused us to miss a day in San Francisco where I had hoped to check out a game at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants.

In the end, Virgin America came through in helping to get us home, but I’d have to give a big thumbs down to Fiji Air and American Airlines. (More on that in an upcoming post.) Our 5 week trip to the Pacific is almost over. We’re currently in Vanuatu, an island I’m looking forward to checking out.

Once we get home, there’s a promo or two that I need to look into booking. I also need to figure out some trips since we have nothing planned after this one…

The Michael W Travels Family is currently in Fiji (during our 5 Week Trip to the Pacific).

It’s been a very interesting adventure so far, with more to come! So far, we’ve been to 4 island nations as well as American Samoa. The one things that’s the same on all of the islands, are the friendly people that we’ve come across. (Definitely a nice thing when you’re traveling with kids.)

The Michael W Travels family is currently on our Summer Trip Around the Pacific.

We’re currently on the Solomon Islands which doesn’t normally see a ton of tourists. However, that is not currently the case as we coincidentally happen to be here during the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Guadalcanal. There are WWII history buffs and relatives of those who fought in the war all over. We also saw the car for the Prime Minister of the Solomons and New Zealand drive by on the road. After three flights and a couple of long layovers, the Michael W Travels family has begun our trip to the Pacific in the Kingdom of Tonga.

Sundays are a very quiet day in Tonga so we headed to an off-shore island to spend the day. It was definitely a lazy and relaxing first full day to our trip. Happy 11 months to Theo!
