A few years back, we stayed with the Kimpton Hotels chain for the first time.

During our Kimpton stay, we received a jerky IHG Rewards Club Elite Benefit. At check-in I said the social password. Due to this, we ordered room service at a hotel for the first time!
Since this stay I’ve been wanting to stay with Kimpton Hotels again. In April 2019, the Michael W Travels family stayed at the Kimpton Eventi New York City. I used my last uncapped IHG Anniversary Free Night to cover the stay.
While there was no secret password during this time, I did receive a very confusing welcome gift. (Since then, the hotel did correct the issue…)

For those of you staying with Kimpton over the next few months, you’re in luck- a new secret password has been announced!
@Kimpton tweeted out that, “We’ve got news! Our beloved social password is back for the summer! ”
When checking in from now through September 5, 2022, make sure to say: “Stay Cool“. After doing so, “you’ll be rewarded with a feel-good surprise.”
I’m hoping to stay at a Kimpton at some point within the next few months and I’d love to find out what the hotel’s feel-good surprise options are!

David J Parmenter- On one of our Kimpton stays, we also got a weird response initially. It sounds like you did pretty well during your stay!
Just checked into Kimpton Goodland Ft Lauderdale. Clerk seemed confused when I mentioned password, but Manger standing nearby came right over and cleared it up. we got a $30 room credit to use on site and two free drink coupons at the bar. As for Diamond benefits no upgrade offered had to ask and they claimed all rooms full, and I had to ask for the breakfast benefit too. And was given coupons for free breakfast for two each day
