There are lots of interesting and unique stays available to book through Airbnb.
There used to be a pizza themed rental available in Brooklyn, NY but the listing was pulled (I assume) due to COVID-19. An apartment in a NYC housing project was listed on the site. You can also book a stay in a 6-ton potato!
From time to time, Airbnb runs special listings which are almost like contests. These properties are only available for a limited time.
Blockbuster Videos used to be very popular but have virtually disappeared. However, there is one location left in the world. That location will be available to rent out for a very limited time!
Airbnb has a listing for an End of Summer Sleepover at The Last BLOCKBUSTER.
The shop is located in Bend, Oregon and is listed at just $4 per night however, there’s a catch. The bookings are only available to “three quarantine pods of Deschutes County guests for a socially-distanced movie night.”
If you’re not a resident of Deschutes County, you’re hopes of staying at the last Blockbuster will not be possible.
Here is how the booking process works:
On August 17th at 1PM, you can try to grab a booking of the Bend Blockbuster location. There are three one-night stays available, August 18, 19 and 20. Each stay is good for up to four people.
The store will be cleaned by following Airbnb’s Enhanced Cleaning Protocol before your arrival. The stay includes a pack of face coverings, disinfectant wipes, and endless hand sanitizer!
If this Blockbuster was located close to home, I’d definitely try to book a stay. Would you?
