New York’s LaGuardia Airport has been a huge mess due to ongoing improvements which are years away from being completed.
However, the airport’s new Terminal B is getting a major food upgrade in the name of fast-casual favorite, Shake Shack!
Since opening in JFK’s T4, the highlight of our visits to the terminal is the chance dine at Shake Shack. (Check out a review from my visit back in 2013 here.) We love grabbing burgers (and breakfast sandwiches) at Shack before going away as well as when we arrive back in NYC!
According to a press release I received earlier in the day, “HMSHost is bringing Shake Shack to LaGuardia Airport’s new Terminal B.”
There was no exact date for opening, but it did say that Shack would “debut later this year in conjunction with the opening of the first gates in the new state-of-the-art Terminal B.”
Along with Shake Shack, HMSHost will also be opening the Mexican taqueria La Chula from Chef Julian Medina and Italian cuisine at Osteria Fusco from restaurateur and chef Scott Conant.
This is great news for NYC’s airports. We frequently fly out of LaGuardia Airport although we much prefer JFK. After the improvements are completed, I’d expect our opinions will change…
Are you a fan of Shake Shack? If so, are you excited to see the burger chain expanding to another airport?
