I have to admit that I still really love toys and games. Being that I’m a Special Ed teacher for young children, one of the best parts of my job is that a good amount of my time at work has to do with playing!
I also love buying new toys for Lucas. I can’t resist when I see something that I just know will bring a huge smile to his face. Lucas is now into Duplos so it’s definitely fun building with him!
The thing about toys is that they can be pricey. We rarely every buy toys in-store but do enjoy looking.

I’ve only been to one of CN Traveler’s picks- FAO Schwarz but that was many years ago. I think Lucas is due for a visit so we’ll have to head over there after the holidays when it will probably be a bit less busy.
Otherwise, I’m pretty sure that the Doll Hospital in Lisbon has been featured on a travel television show.
While in Malta this past April, I was hoping we’d be able to visit one of my favorite toy brand’s factories but it wasn’t meant to be. I was planning to check out the Playmobil FunPark but the schedule didn’t work for us plus Lucas would’ve been a bit too young to go on the tour.
The best place I could remember visiting with Lucas was the KaDeWe in Berlin. It’s one of the largest department stores in Europe and had an incredible toy department. However, I’m not sure that it would compare to any of CN Traveler’s picks!
