For the third week in a row Lucas and I took a trip during the week. This time we visited Indianapolis, Indiana (and had another fun little adventure). I’m a bit behind and still need to write the trip planning post.

I finally received a replacement card for a credit card that I misplaced. I’m now back to working on finishing off putting the minimum spend on the card to earn the bonus. I’m also close to completing an offer to earn some point points on another card. Once those two things are completed, I’ll be thinking about applying for another credit card. Lucas and I returned from our second summer trip on Friday. We spent a few days in Idaho and had a fun time during our visit. (Check for the trip planning post below.)

Tomorrow we’ll once again head off on another trip. We’ll be visiting a state that Lucas and I have yet to visit. I’m looking forward to seeing a little more of the U.S.!

Lucas and I just got back from our first summer trip on Friday (trip planning link below) and we’re heading off on our second trip in the morning. We’ll be visiting a new state for a few days.

There’s been tons of amazing airfare deals going on and I’m seriously thinking of pulling the trigger on one for a trip in February. I’ll give it a little time to decide and hope that the deal doesn’t disappear!

Lucas and I are heading off on our second Father- Son Trip. This will be Lucas’s 32nd country visited and sadly not a new one for me! 🙂  I’ll share more details about it in a future post.

After getting the confirmation e-mail for the JetBlue points match with Virgin America, I’ve been considering various flight options to earn my points. Do I make this a true mileage run (not really my thing) or attempt to make it into a short (few hours to a day) trip? Tough decision here…

I recently received my newest credit card and am currently working towards completing the spend required to earn the bonus. At the mid-point of 2016 I’m on track to earn a solid amount of miles and points thanks to credit card bonuses once again.

After a small delay, I received the e-mail from JetBlue letting me know that I was registered for the Virgin America points match. Now I need to book a flight before the end of August.

My first summer trip with Lucas is fast approaching, about two weeks away. The plans for that trip are pretty much all taken care of. Now it’s time to start working on planning the details of our other summer plans.

This JetBlue points match offer that The Points Guy wrote about is getting lots of attention. I’m now debating whether or not to go for it but there isn’t much time left to decide.

My summer travel schedule is taking shape and I should be going on three trips with Lucas in July. We’ll be visiting a couple of new states and one country which will be a new one for Lucas. Between these trips we’ll probably be doing some driving trips with Kim.

Next I need to decide on where and when to use some remaining free Radisson hotel nights. Have you used your free-nights which were given out when the credit card’s stay 2 benefit went away? There isn’t much to report about on a personal note when it comes to miles, points and travel. I still have some trip ideas for the summer which I need to decide on and finish booking.

Otherwise, I’m hoping to find some other big credit card offers to apply for soon. With 2016 just about half over, I need to increase my miles and points earned due to sign-up bonuses!

With Kim grounded from flying for another 5 months or so, it looks like there will be a few more Father-Son Trips coming up.

Lucas and I already have one trip planned for early July and now I came up with a plan for another couple of weeks in July. The plan is to go away during the week while Kim has work and be back by Friday. I’m looking at visiting a couple of states that we haven’t been to yet.

We decided to stay home this holiday weekend. With so much to do close to home in NYC, we kept very busy doing some things in Brooklyn and Queens. Even if you aren’t traveling to far-off destinations, you can still spend days exploring and feeling like you’re traveling!

Our next trip (flying) isn’t until July but I’m hoping to take a road trip once the school year is over. I’m also looking to book a couple of domestic flights to get some use from my Southwest Companion Pass.
