The day after we got back from South Korea I booked us a flight to Europe for next February. The deals being offered on an almost daily basis are just so hard to pass up!

I’m just about done with the spend on my newest credit card so I need to find a new one to apply for. With all of the talk of the upcoming US Bank Altitude Reserve, that could be my next target!

Our flight with United from Newark to Beijing was pretty comfortable. For the next leg we flew with Asiana to Seoul. We’re all feeling jet lag to different degrees but dealing with it pretty well.

Next weekend we’re off to Asia for our next family adventure over Spring Break.

We’re still putting the finishing touches on our plans but it’s just about done. I was glad that adding Theo as a lap baby went smoothly (we booked the flight before he was born). We won’t have any need to lawyer up this time…

Yesterday I visited three Staples stores in hopes of finding Hotels.com gift cards. There’s currently a nice promo where you can buy Hotels.com GCs at a 20% discount– $50 cards are selling for $40!

The third time was the charm! I finally found some Hotels.com gift cards. I ended up buying $300 worth for $240. Sounds like a deal to me. (I’m now debating whether or not I want to buy more before the offer expires.) It’s been a productive week for us here at Michael W Travels.

Kim and I were able to use our IHG Anniversary Free Nights for our upcoming Asia trip. The nice thing is that I’ll have another free night coming my way in May.

My new Citi American Airlines Business card arrived and I’m working on hitting the minimum spend. I’m hoping to find another solid offer soon after I earn the 50,000 miles bonus. With an impending snowstorm on the way, we found out earlier today that schools would be closed here in NYC! This will be a good opportunity for Kim and I to work on the plans for our Spring Break trip which is a little over three weeks away.

I was happy to get approved for my first new credit card of 2017. No, it wasn’t a card with a 100,000 miles bonus offer but I’ll take 50,000 more American Airlines miles. (Although it’s been extremely hard to redeem the AA miles I already have.)
