Emotional Support Animals on planes have been a hot topic for quite some time.

American Airlines Has New Rules, Bans Some Emotional Support Animals

american airlinesIn recent years we’ve heard a lot about bizarre emotional support animals.

Recently a passenger claimed that Spirit told her to flush an emotional support hamster down the toilet. There was big news when United banned an emotional support peacock from flying. There’s also the story about Daniel, an emotional support duck!

As you can see from the examples listed above, people are trying to bring just about any kind of animal onboard in the name of emotional support.

Spirit Airlines Told Passenger To Flush Emotional Support Hamster Down Toilet

The airlines have been pushing back by making it tougher to fly with emotional support animals and I can’t say that I disagree with them.

Over the summer a bizarre emotional support animal got loose during a flight.

Back in 2014 an emotional support pig was kicked off of a flight. And while not flight or travel-related, a service kangaroo was kicked out of McDonald’s in 2015!
