When I first saw the headline for this story- “Giant SOS Message Saves Marooned Snorkelers” I thought about Tom Hanks in Castaway and the television show Survivor.
A group of 5 snorkeling near the Whitsunday Islands in Australia were left stranded on a rocky island without food, water or cellphones after their anchored boat drifted away.
I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Australia. Kim and I went there on our honeymoon and had an amazing time visiting a good amount of the country. While we feel like we saw lots of great sites in a variety of areas, there is just so much that we didn’t get to check out.
Just to name a few- I’d love to visit Tasmania, Brisbane, Kangaroo Island, Fraser Island and more of the Outback.
Hopefully one of these years we’ll make it back OR maybe we should move there?

This trip sounds like the perfect prize. Kim and I went on our honeymoon to Australia and would love to visit again some day. For those of you that don’t know, baseball is my favorite sport and I love visiting new stadiums. During our trip to Japan, I even got to see a game there. It would be awesome to get to see the Dodgers play in Australia!
