Earn Up To 4500 United Miles For Switching Insurance

Here is another way to earn some United miles and possibly save some money too.

Allstate is offering United members bonus miles for switching their auto and/ or homeowners insurance. According to the e-mail “People who switched to Allstate saved an average of $375”.

It’s definitely worth getting a quote to see if you could save some money. A few months back I got an offer in the mail from Allstate. I called up and found out that if I switched, I would’ve saved about $300 on my car insurance. I then decided to call up my current insurance company- Geico. I told them how I was thinking of switching and they offered me an even better price to stick with them. Either way it can be a win- win situation!

If you switch to Allstate:

  • Earn 2,500 United miles for switching your auto insurance
  • Earn an additional 2,000 miles for switching your homeowners insurance

Bonus miles limited to one auto insurance and/ or home insurance quote per customer or household.

Lucas Likes Vanilla Too

For those of you that don’t know, some of us points and miles enthusiasts like to earn a little extra by purchasing pre-paid cards at drugstores or office supply stores with credit cards that earn a bonus. As an example: if you use a Hilton Amex card at drugstores you earn 6x points. If you use a Chase Ink card at office supply stores you can earn 5x points.
.
The cost to buy a pre-paid card is $3.95 and you can “load” up to $500 at a time per card.
This is a very basic description of how pre-paid card buying works. Don’t just jump in and buy the cards unless you fully understand what you are doing.
.
I am definitely no expert on the topic but I like to buy some Vanilla at times.

An Interesting Offer for United Mastercard Members

a blue and white logo
I received an e-mail from United about an interesting event coming up that United MileagePlus Mastercard holders could attend and pay for by using a small amount of miles.

For 2,500 miles, United is offering the chance to reserve a spot at a private fashion show featuring men’s and women’s apparel at the The Mall at Short Hills in New Jersey. The event takes place inside Neiman Marcus on April 3.

No, I wasn’t interested but I have to say the offer sounded pretty fair and might be of interest to some of you.

Please keep in mind once again that this offer is only open to United MileagePlus Mastercard members.

In addition to the fashion show, the event includes drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a $50 Neiman Marcus gift card. This sounds like a pretty fair value if you are into fashion.
The $50 gift card alone makes this offer a decent one.

You can reserve up to four tickets to the show.

To save a spot, send an e-mail with your name, guest’s names, the last 4 digits of your MileagePlus account and your address & phone number to unitedmp-cardevent@united.com. You will be contacted within a few days by phone or e-mail to complete your reservation.

Earn 1500 United Miles For Purchasing Bose QuietComfort

a close-up of a headphones

Back in December, I posted about a couple of offers to earn miles with American Airlines and Delta for purchasing Bose products.

Here is a new offer to earn United miles.

Purchase Bose QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones (link below) and earn 1500 United MileagePlus award miles.

Bose QuietComfort headphones sell for $299.95. Definitely a bit pricey if you ask me and not on my list of things to buy in the future.

I couldn’t see wearing noise cancelling headphones on a flight when flying with Lucas.
I need to hear what is going on if my little guy is uncomfortable or needs something.

Some Highlights (according to Bose):

  • Advanced noise reduction
  • Acoustical design for detailed, lifelike music
  • Soft- cushioned, around the ear fit
  • Additional cable with inline microphone and remote for iPhone/ iPod control
  • AAA battery- 35 hours average life

If you’re looking to buy Bose headphones, click HERE to earn some valuable United miles.

The Easiest 5,000 Delta Miles I’ve Ever Earned

a city with many tall buildings

Back in October, I posted about an upcoming promotion from Delta called Nonstop NYC.
In this promo 40 lucky winners won a trip from NYC to LA. The promotion went on for six weeks with various online games and a scavenger hunt around NYC called Find the Red Coat.

I wasn’t one of the lucky winners of Nonstop NYC and I haven’t thought about the promo since it ended in mid December.

That was until today. I received an e-mail from Delta Airlines with the subject:

  • Delta Nonstop NYC- 5,000 Miles Just for Playing

I initially figured the e-mail was letting me know about another shot at winning some Skymiles but I was wrong. Delta was giving me 5,000 bonus miles just for participating in Nonstop NYC!

a screenshot of a computer
Sorry for the impossible to read image

Here is part of the e-mail:

Thank you for playing Delta Nonstop NYC.

Invalid request error occurred.Even though Delta Nonstop NYC is officially over, we want to thank you for finding our Red Coats, completing missions and spending time with us. We hope you had as much fun as we did, and we enjoyed seeing your posts, Tweets and check-ins from all over the city.

And as a special thank you, we’d like to reward you for your participation with a bonus of 5,000 miles, good toward one of our hundreds of destinations worldwide. Please visit www.skymilesincentives.com/claim and enter your award code ____ .

It’s a good thing that I read through this message or I could’ve missed out on 5,000 of the easiest miles that I’ve ever earned! (The miles didn’t post directly to my account, I had to claim them at the link above.)

Once I claimed my miles, I received an e-mail confirmation and the miles were added to my Delta account by the time I got home from work.

If you participated in Delta Nonstop NYC and didn’t receive an e-mail thanking you for playing, you should check your spam folder. Maybe you‘ll also have a nice surprise of 5,000 miles to claim too!
