El Al Airlines is giving away a 5 night trip for two to Israel in a sweepstakes through Facebook.
The sweepstakes is being run in celebtration of the Jewish New Year- Rosh Hashana which was last week.
Back in May I got to attend a bunch of fun and exciting events in New York City related to the opening of Delta’s new Terminal 4 (T4).
I attended T4X and the Closing concert for T4X featuring Ed Sheeran in SoHo, NYC and the opening of the brand new Terminal 4 at JFK Airport. During the opening I got to meet Richard Branson and do what I believe is a first on the Sky Deck. I also ate at one of my favorite burger chains, Shake Shack and got to meet it’s founder Danny Meyer. Check out my review of the T4 Shake Shack here.
At the events, various Delta goodies were given out and I’d like to give a few things away in a contest.
In late May I gave away one 10% Off Flight Certificate and Drink Voucher. This time around I have another 10% Off Voucher and a few other things to give away.

Back in early June I wrote about Priceless by Mastercard giving away tickets to MLB All Star Week events taking place in NYC. The giveaway was included in one of my Travel News, Deals & Offers posts.
This year the All Star game is taking place at Citi Field, home to my favorite baseball team, the New York Mets. I was hoping to attend one of the events but didn’t want to spend money on tickets.

Some Rules:
Queensland is known as the sunshine state and is the second largest in Australia. It also has 10 of the 30 largest cities in the country.
There are lots of great things to do in Queensland. You can dive the Great Barrier Reef, choose from a variety of national parks to visit, relax on a beach, learn to surf , visit the outback and choose from many other options.
With so many options and such little time, what would I do with 5 days in Queensland?
Tough decisions have to be made and I would want to see a variety of what Queensland has to offer. So here is what I would do.

| Surfers Paradise |
Day 1–
I’d start off my first day with a visit to the Gold Coast. I’ve always wanted to learn how to surf so why not give it a try at an appropriately named beach- Surfers Paradise. After my morning surf lesson, I’ll head over to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary to spend some time visiting the kangaroos, koala, emus and other native Australian animals.

Day 2–
For my second day l’d drive along the Sunshine Coast to get to Glass House Mountains National Park. While there I’d do some hiking and take in the great views. If I could arrive early enough, a balloon flight would be the ultimate way to see the mountains. After a few hours visiting the mountains the Australia Zoo, owned by the family of the late Steve Irwin, would be my next stop. I’ve always heard great things about the zoo. I’d like to see some of the shows and get to take part in some of the animal interactions and feedings.

Day 3–
This day would be dedicated to visiting the largest sand island in the world- Fraser Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I’d take a charter flight in so I could get to experience arriving/ landing on the beach. Sounds a bit scary but thrilling at the same time. Since this is such a short trip,a 4WD vehicle would be perfect to take me around the island to visit the main sites.

Day 4 & 5–
The last two days of my trip would be spent visiting the Whitsunday Islands, part of the Great Barrier Reef. I’m not a diver so I’ll do lots of snorkeling, check out the beaches and hopefully get a chance to fly over Heart Reef. I’d give myself two days so I could get to experience the islands and reef without feeling too rushed!

Today I’ll be celebrating my second Father’s Day as a Dad!
It’s been an incredible 17 months so far with Lucas Miles in our lives and I look forward to many more great times and experiences to come. It’s amazing to see the difference a year makes. Lucas is now running around (and causing a ton of trouble!), saying lots of words, making animal sounds, eating with a fork and doing many other great things. He also loves to play and act silly!
Lucas continues to be a great traveler and has already been on quite a few trips.

Lufthansa Cargo is looking for help naming the newest member of it’s family- the Boeing 777F. They are running a contest to “generate ideas for a fleet branding”.
One lucky winner and a guest will get to attend the welcoming event when the Boeing 777F lands in Frankfurt in October.
