Legoland New York Opens For Previews Starting May 29!

LegolandBack in 2017, I first read that a new location of Legoland would be opening in upstate New York by 2019. An opening date wasn’t announced until later that year.

My kids (especially Lucas) were very excited that a Legoland would be opening around two hours drive from home.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the July 4, 2020 opening date was delayed.

No exact date for the eventual 2021 opening was announced until now…

I just received an e-mail from Legoland New York that the park will be opening up for previews starting May 29!

The park isn’t quite finished but I’m still hoping to take the kids to visit soon.

According to Legoland.com, “guests will enjoy six of the Resort’s seven LEGO® themed lands, including BRICK STREET, BRICKTOPIA, LEGO® CITY, LEGO® CASTLE, LEGO® NINJAGO® WORLD, and MINILAND.”

Lego Pirates will be the last land to be finished. It’s set to open later this summer along with the Legoland Hotel!

Lucas applied to become a Legoland Kid Reporter a couple of years back. He made a video about why he’d make a good reporter and how much he loved Lego. He wasn’t selected, however, he did win four tickets to Legoland New York. That’s still a win if you ask me!
