Brooklyn’s Peter Luger Steakhouse Has Genius Way To Fill Empty Seats!

Peter LugerBack in 2017, I shared a review of one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The burger can be had at the iconic steakhouse, Peter Luger!

Due to COVID-19, Peter Luger had been closed to indoor dining but their food was available for takeout. We ordered from the restaurant back in June and it was still very enjoyable.

Indoor dining recently returned in NYC. Restaurants are allowed to seat 35% of the allowed occupancy.

To make the restaurant feel a bit less empty, Peter Luger came up with a genius idea.

Eater reports that, “the one-Michelin-starred steakhouse has outfitted its main dining room with celebrity mannequins as part of an inventive, and somewhat creepy, partnership with Madame Tussauds New York.”

You can see Audrey Hepburn, Jimmy Fallon, Jon Hamm and Al Roker at the restaurant until March 1. After that, the mannequins will head back to Madame Tussaud’s in Manhattan.

I was hoping that the Madame Tussauds- Peter Luger partnership would last for a little longer than a week since I’d love to dine there and see some of the celebrity guests! However, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll be dining at the steakhouse by March 1.

Regardless, I think this is a genius and fun way to fill some of the empty seats at this classic NY restaurant.
