In January of 2018 a man sexually assaulted a sleeping woman during a Spirit Airlines flight.

Upon landing, the man, Prabhu Ramamoorthy was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual abuse.

Almost one year later, Ramamoorthy has been sentenced to nine years in prison.

Considering what the man did, I wondered if the sentence was long enough.

Ramamoorthy was seated next to his 23 year- old victim and “unzipped her pants, unbuttoned her shirt and molested her with his hands while she slept,” according to Yahoo News.

The story gets even crazier. The sexual predator’s wife was sitting next to him in the next seat.

Ramamoorthy, who’s from India, has been in the US since 2015 on a work visa.

It was nice to learn that he’ll be deported after he serves his prison sentence.
