There’s a good reason that museums have do not touch signs…

A man was visiting the National Watch and Clock Museum in Columbia, Pennsylvania when he got quite interested in one particular clock hanging on the wall. He took some photos and then felt the need to “poke and prod it,” according to T+L.

The man’s decision led to very bad things and it was all caught on video.

As the man pulled on different parts of the clock, it eventually came down! Parts are seen coming off as the man caught the bulk of it and tried to put it back up before resting it on the floor.

The man did tell staff what happened right away and luckily the museum will not be pressing charges and the clock can be fixed.

The surveillance video of the clock was posted to Youtube with the title “Please Don’t Touch!!!“. The video was posted on May 31 and already has over 1,000,000 views.

Check out the video:

Don’t forget, if you happen to get the urge to touch something in a museum Do Not Touch unless you happen to be visiting the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia!
