Rehash

Kim, Lucas and I are currently traveling home from what’s been possibly our most frustrating trip ever! What should’ve been a quick hour and five-minute flight to Toronto became a cancelled flight, hours of waiting and another cancelled flight. We then had to fly the following morning which became early afternoon with more delays, giving us just a day and a half at our destination!

I guess weather happens but with just a light drizzle in the NYC area and poor communication with passengers, this led to lots of unhappy tavelers!

I say let it happen now rather than during a longer, more exciting trip. Hopefully we got rid of the bad travel karma for a while!

Otherwise, just before changes were announced to AAdvantage, I booked a flight for our spring trip using some of my miles!

How has your week gone when it comes to miles, points and travel?

And now it’s time to take a look back at some of this past week’s posts in a recap that I like to call The Rehash!

An El Al plane makes emergency landing in Billings, Montana. I’d guess this is the first time the airline ever had service to the state?

If you’re looking to book flights deep into next year here is some good news. Jetblue’s schedule was extended through summer 2016.

Here’s a nice way to save 50% with an Uber $10 off $20 from Amex Offers.

I’ve never considered this but if you leave any electronics at home you can buy from an airport Best Buy kiosk at cheaper store prices.

In stupid news a drunk woman tries to open the door on British Airways flight.

Pet unfriendly or just covering themselves from issues? Delta Airlines won’t let pets fly as checked bags.

For you wine lovers out there… Enjoy an $850 bottle of wine on American Airlines flight.

There are some interesting picks on Frommer’s Best Places To Go 2016.

Some surprisingly good customer service as Delta Airlines orders pizza for grounded flights.

A crazy story with a happy ending… AA loses a Boston Marathon victim’s prosthetic leg (& finds it).

With Thanksgiving just days away, did you know that you could have a Thanksgiving feast around the world.

That’s all I’ve got!
