National Geographic is running a new competition called Expedition Granted where one person will win a $50,000 prize to fund the expedition of their dreams!
They aren’t just looking for the usual explorers like mountaineer and photographers. Explorers of the 21st century are musicians and makers, techies and tinkerers, the curious and the courageous—anyone with a big idea and the drive to make it a reality according to Nat Geo.

How To Enter: To enter for a shot at being selected for the $50,000 prize you need to make a video of 2 minutes or less telling of your idea and why you should be selected.

Once the submission period closes, Nat Geo’s panel of advisors will select up to 10 finalists (which will be announced on September 16). The public will then get a chance to vote for a winner and the project with the most votes will receive the prize!
The winner will be announced on September 30 on National Geographic Channel.

- Open to legal residents of the 50 United States & DC
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Entries are due by August 31, 2014 at midnight
