Kim and I each finished putting the minimum spend on our newest credit cards. Now I’m debating whether or not I should apply for one more card before 2017 comes to an end. (The biggest problem is finding the right card to apply for!)

We haven’t flown since October so we’re very excited for our next trip, which is just three weeks away. I hope that everyone had a nice Thanksgiving weekend. Black Friday and Cyber Monday were on many people’s minds. Kim and I did some shopping but didn’t make any big purchases.

The Winter Break is fast approaching. We settled on a domestic trip since I couldn’t find any deals for an international destination which seemed worthwhile for our short break. All I need to do is decide on a hotel or two and we’re done planning the trip. After a long wait, my newest credit card arrived. I’m currently working on the spend for the bonus which shouldn’t be hard to complete.

Kim got approved for the excellent JetBlue 60K bonus offer. She got a pending message and it said a response should come in a few weeks. The following day, she got a call from the bank and after a short conversation, she was approved! Kim and I both completed the offer to earn 7,500 Wyndham Rewards points per stay, up to two times.

One of my bonuses posted within a few days but the other bonus and Kim’s hadn’t posted. I reached out to Wyndham Rewards and was told that it could take some time from when the promo ended. It sounded odd that one out of four bonuses posted so quickly. I’m happy to report that all of our bonus points posted a couple of days back!

I was approved for a new card almost two weeks ago and am still waiting for it to arrive. I guess the bank is in no rush for me to use it! Besides getting approved for another new credit card, it’s been a pretty uneventful week here related to travel.

I was close to booking a flight for an early summer trip but decided to wait a bit longer before deciding on that idea. Otherwise, we have a good amount of planning to do for trips in February and during Spring Break. Hopefully something will materialize soon for winter break!
