What’s The Longest You’ve Waited To Load REDcard?

Target REDcardI wouldn’t consider myself to be very big into manufactured spending.

Sure I took part in buying $1 coins from the U.S. Mint which was a big pain. I also loved using Amazon Payments which was overly convenient. I even enjoyed the hunt for Vanilla Reloads and Paypal cards. Too bad that ended…

The most recent and only way I currently manufacture spend is with the Target REDcard.  Continue reading What’s The Longest You’ve Waited To Load REDcard?

Can Each Target Make Up Policies About REDcard?

Target REdCard

Why is it that people are having different experiences loading their Target prepaid REDcard at store locations?

Wouldn’t you think that such a big company would have rules and policies in place across the board that are followed by all stores? I would but for whatever reason, this is not the case.

Should rules vary from store to store? Better yet, is each store allowed to make up their own policy when it comes to loading REDcard… Continue reading Can Each Target Make Up Policies About REDcard?

Target REDcard Experience: Charleston

Target REDcard

The first few times I loaded my REDcard I had no issue adding $2,500 each time. At first I could do the full $2,500 in one transaction and after that stopped being allowed, I was able to do three charges back to back to reach the daily load-limit. Pretty simple…

Then things changed, at least at the Targets close to home. I wondered if Target was limiting REDcard loads by credit card to $1,000 per day. After getting a lot of feedback, this seems to be a rule being put in place in certain Target locations. I then shared another REDcard load experience where I visited two stores in less than an hour, having two very different experiences.

I shared my first REDcard load of March which had not so great results.

And then we went to CharlestonContinue reading Target REDcard Experience: Charleston

“The Reloaders Are Here”, Another REDcard Experience

Manufactured spending

After writing about a recent experience loading my Target prepaid REDcard, I wondered if loads were being limited to $1,000 per day.

After many people shared their experiences, it seems like this $1,000 load by credit card per day rule is being implemented on a store by store basis.

Since I had to finish loading my card for February, I went back to the same store to see how  things would turn out. Continue reading “The Reloaders Are Here”, Another REDcard Experience

Target Prepaid REDcard Limiting Load By Credit Card To $1,000 Per Day?

Manufactured spending

A couple of weeks I headed to Target to load my prepaid REDcard. I had no issue loading the daily limit of $2,500 (besides one of the cards having a fraud alert).

Since Kim and I shop at Target a decent amount, I’ve enjoyed saving 5% on purchases by using the card. I also haven’t been worrying too much about getting into a store to load the other half of the monthly load limit (which is $5,000).

Some worries about loading my Target Prepaid REDcard changed yesterday and it’s getting a bit more difficult. Continue reading Target Prepaid REDcard Limiting Load By Credit Card To $1,000 Per Day?
