For years now, Shake Shack has been my favorite fast-casual restaurant.
Shack makes delicious burgers, shakes and cheese fries just to name a few of the items on their menu.
From time to time, the restaurant introduces a new menu item. The newest item has been in the works for quite some time…
Shake Shack started teasing a new item a day or so back on Instagram. When Kim and I saw it, I said it was most likely a veggie burger, Kim thought it might be some sort of salad.
It turns out that I was right. The restaurant introduced the Veggie Shack today.
According to Shack’s blog, “our veggie burger packed with mushrooms, sweet potatoes, carrots, farro, and quinoa, topped with American cheese, crispy onions, pickles and ShackSauce.”
From now until Friday, Shack App users can get it first.
While I’m not a veggie burger kind of guy, it’s nice to see Shack coming up with an in-house veggie burger rather than just offering a generic patty like other restaurants do. I won’t be trying it but I do think Kim will be interested in seeing what it’s like.
