Food Review: Shake Shack “Wake Up Shack” Breakfast Sandwich at LGA

Shake ShackThis morning, we flew from New York’s LaGuardia Airport to Memphis, Tennessee.

We were beyond surprised at how smooth and quick everything was at LGA. We got our bags checked and through security so fast that we had time for a quick breakfast at Shake Shack!Shake ShackWe stopped by the Shake Shack in Terminal B, by Gate 42. When we got on the line, I was happy to see a couple of new (I think) breakfast sandwiches being offered.Shake ShackAfter looking over the offerings, we decided to get the Wake Up Shack, a sandwich with a griddled egg topped with Niman Ranch applewood-smoked bacon, American cheese, breakfast tots and Shack breakfast sauce.

The cost of the sandwich was a very reasonable $5.99 ($7.09 if you want a double).Shake ShackI think it’s safe to say that the Wake Up Shack was love at first bite.Shake ShackThe components of the sandwich went really well together on the squishy Martin’s bun. I loved the tangy, creamy sauce which had a touch of heat and the breakfast tots added a nice crispy crunch.

This is a sandwich that I’m still thinking about and would love to have again!

Final Thoughts:

When we fly home, if breakfast is still available, we’ll definitely be eating at Shake Shack. There’s also another sandwich also being offered, the Egg White Light which we’d also like to try.
