Around 5 years back, we stayed with the Kimpton Hotels chain for the first time.

During our Kimpton stay, we received a jerky IHG Rewards Club Elite Benefit. At check-in I said the social password. Due to this, we ordered room service at a hotel for the first time!
Since this stay I’ve been wanting to stay with Kimpton Hotels again. In April 2019, the Michael W Travels family stayed at the Kimpton Eventi New York City. I used my last uncapped IHG Anniversary Free Night to cover the stay.
While there was no secret password during this time, I did receive a very confusing welcome gift. (Since then, the hotel did correct the issue…)

This weekend we’ll be staying at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver for a couple of nights. I was happy to find out from Doctor of Credit that a new secret password was coming out on May 26!
When checking in from now through September 3, 2023, make sure to say: “No Shade“. After doing so, “you’ll get a surprise.”

Was just talking to an IHG insider member on FB and she said she received a suite upgrade last year during a stay in Seattle. Hope for something like that this summer!
