A couple of months back I was approved for the Capital One Venture X credit card.
The card comes with a variety of benefits. Besides the 100,000 points sign up offer, the card offers a $300 annual travel credit, Capital One Lounge Access, a Global Entry/ Pre Check refund once every 4 years and more…
With all of these benefits, the card definitely pays for itself and then some (at least during the first year)!
Around a year or so back, Kim’s Global Entry membership expired. She’s been meaning to renew it but we’ve been a bit lazy about it.
After getting back from Belize, Kim finally filled out the necessary forms to renew her Global Entry membership. She paid using my Capital One Venture X card.
The charge showed up on my bill when I checked my account and I haven’t really thought about it since.
Earlier in the day I received an email from CapOne with the Subject: Your Venture X card just paid you back.
I opened the e-mail to see what Capital One was talking about. Besides the image above, I saw a simple message, Your Global Entry application fee has been reimbursed.
While I never doubted that I’d get reimbursed for the fee, it was nice to get a heads up, letting me know that the credit posted.
Now if only Kim could get an appointment to complete the GE renewal!
