Short answer: NO!

Yesterday, we flew home from Memphis to New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

While checking in for our flight on the American Airlines app, an enticing potential offer popped up.

American Airlines might need volunteers to give up their seats and fly at a later time.

While we wanted to get home at the time of the flight we booked, for a price, we were willing to take a bump.

Of the amounts offered, Kim and I thought $550 sounded good.

In the end, the airline didn’t need any volunteers for a bump. I even noticed a handful of empty seats on our flight.

I was definitely hoping that the airline would need volunteers and was even thinking about where we’d go with our $550 vouchers. Oh well…
