A woman known as the “Serial Stowaway” was arrested at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport as she tried to sneak past airport security.

Marilyn Hartman was charged by Chicago police on Saturday  “with a felony count of criminal trespass to a registered area at an airport,” according to ABC News.

Hartman tried to move TSA lane dividers to get past security but was caught and arrested before she made it through.

In 2018 she snuck onto a plane at O’Hare which was heading to London. She was on probation due to that incident. While “she was sentenced to a minimum of 18 months in that case“, the amount of time she actually served isn’t known.

I found it funny that the article mentioned how Hartman is known among Chicago police for her illegal intentions at the airport.

Hartman is due in court today. Maybe this time, rather than a jail sentence she should be sent for a mental evaluation. And I don’t know about you, but I’d love to hear the reason that she tries to sneak past airport security over and over again.

  1. The reason is likely something along the lines of “for the thrill”. Its the same reason some people who have wealth shoplift.
