A couple of days back I received an e-mail from Marriott Bonvoy with some good news.

The subject of the message was, “Enjoy your Free Night Award.”

Since using my Free Night Award valued at up to 25,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, I didn’t think much about when my new night would become available.

I booked my free night back in April for a stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Philadelphia Downtown/ City Center. The hotel really impressed us and seemed like a very solid redemption option.

For the $85 annual credit card fee, we booked a property which would’ve cost over $260 for one night! (We also enjoyed a little tasty treat!)

I rarely use the Marriott Bonvoy Premier credit card at this point. I considered whether or not it was worth canceling. However, for $85 I still feel that it’s worth holding onto for the free night worth up to 25,000 points.

I have 12 months to use my award so I’m not too concerned about where I’ll use it. If we can’t make use of it during one of our trips, I’d gladly book a night again at the Fairfield Inn. We love visiting Philly, so this would be another good excuse to do so!
