A little over a week ago, I wrote about  a Happy Anniversary e-mail that I received from Wyndham Rewards. While the message was appreciated, I assumed there would be some sort of gift or offer included.

Yesterday, I received a Happy Anniversary tweet from Marriott Rewards.

Along with a graphic with the anniversary wishes, there was also an included message in the tweet.

“Happy Member-versary! Times flies when you’re Gold Elite- celebrate with 300 #RewardsPoints.”

While 300 points might not sound like much, every little bit counts. And more importantly, it’s nice to see the hotel company sending positive vibes with this small token gift.

Last Summer, I wrote a post about how members could earn up to 45,000 Marriott Rewards points for being social. I don’t recall exactly how many points I’ve earned to date but from what I can tell it’s a little over 14,000.

I’m hoping to see more points earning opportunities for being social in the future.
