The subject of the e-mail was, Michael, Happy Anniversary!
I assumed that a happy anniversary e-mail might come with some sort of gift, perk or bonus offer so I was excited to open it and see what it contained.
These kind of thoughts weren’t without merit.
Over the past few years, I’ve received many e-mails from Wyndham Rewards offering gifts. The gifts aren’t overly exciting but I figured for a fifth anniversary, it had to be good.
Wyndham also sends lots of nice promotional offers. Some of them are very generous like where if you stay twice you can earn a free night! Kim and I have taken the hotel chain up on these kind of offers from time to time. If you ask me, you can never have too many free hotel nights.
Back to the anniversary e-mail.
So, I opened the e-mail and saw a message:
It’s been magical
Thank you for making memories with us for 5 years. We truly value loyal members like you, and hope that you’ve enjoyed countless getaways with us. Ready for another?
I do appreciate the kind words but that’s it? No free gift or promo offer?
Come on Wyndham Rewards how about we make more memories with a promo to chase after!
