Eva Air has a popular Hello Kitty plane. Onboard, you’ll find lots of touches featuring the popular cartoon, including the toilet paper!
A couple of months back View From the Wing shared news that the Eva Air Hello Kitty jet would also be flying to Los Angeles.
For those of you who’d like to experience Hello Kitty during travel, there will soon be another option.
A bullet train in Japan featuring Hello Kitty will be making daily trips starting this summer.
West Japan Railways Co. is partnering with the famous kitty to bring her aboard a train.
The Shinkansen train will “run daily between Shin-Osaka station in the Osaka Prefecture and Hakata in the Fukuoka Prefecture,” according to designboom.com.
In the first carriage, passengers will be able to take photos with a big Hello Kitty doll as they purchase regional items and learn about the local attractions. The second carriage will have a pink interior with seating and surfaces decorated with the cartoon cat.
The Hello Kitty bullet train will take its first trip on June 30 for a limited time.
While Hello Kitty isn’t really my thing, I do feel that this would still be a fun train to take a trip on. I’m not so sure that my 6 year-old Lucas would be excited to see Hello Kitty on a train but I’d bet that 21 month-old Theo would be excited to see a cartoon cat onboard. (Yes, Theo does love cats!)
