Former Pro Baseball Player Lenny Dykstra Arrested For Incident In Uber

uberFormer Major League Baseball player Lenny Dykstra has had his share of trouble from drunk driving to spending time in prison for grand theft auto.

The 3X All-Star and World Series Champion (’86 Mets!) has now got himself into a lot of trouble due to a recent Uber ride.

Dykstra was picked up in Linden, New Jersey and then asked to change his destination. The driver refused to go along with the request.

The New York Post reports that , “Dykstra then allegedly pulled out a weapon and threatened to kill the driver“. The Post did not mention what kind of weapon it was.

The article mentions how the driver sped his car into a parking garage near the police station, honking the horn to get the attention of the police.

The driver then drove to the police station and ran out of the car, leaving Lenny Dykstra behind.

The police searched the car but they didn’t find any weapon however they did find various drugs (cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy) in the former MLB star’s possession.

At 3:30 AM Dykstra was taken into custody and “charged with making terroristic threats and drug possession“.

Dykstra was released and he has a date in court on June 8.

The sad fall for a former star continues.
