A little over a week back an Emirates plane crash landed at Dubai Airport. Luckily, all of the passengers and crew survived. One firefighter died at the scene helping with the rescue.
One passenger onboard has to be one of the luckiest people in the world.
62 year-old Mohammad Basheer Abdul Khadar from India survived the Emirates plane crash and got some amazing, life-changing news less than a week later.
Six days after the crash, Khadar found that he won the lottery! He won a prize worth $1 million. He purchased his winning ticket before heading back to India to visit family. (Khadar has lived in Dubai for 37 years.)
T+L mentioned that, “his lottery number was drawn at Dubai Airport’s Duty Free Millennium Millionaire raffle.”
Khadar won the lottery at a great time. He’s retiring in four months from his job as a fleet administrator for a car dealer group where he makes around $2,200 per month.
Once he retires, Khadar wants to go back to India and use his prize to “help people in need,” according to T+L.
