Starwood is celebrating Ramadan by offering a bonus…
From now until July 31, 2015 you can earn double Starpoints when dining in restaurants at SPG properties.
However, with SPG’s Spice It Up promo, earning double Starpoints isn’t so simple unless you like to dine at hotel restaurants even when you aren’t traveling.
If you’re staying at the hotel where the restaurant is located, you won’t qualify for the bonus.
According to the terms, “Registered members earn bonus Starpoints for eligible food and beverage purchases at participating restaurants when the member has not booked to stay at the Hotel where the restaurant or bar resides during the same date.”
SPG’s dining offer actually started on May 1 but I didn’t notice (or pay attention to it) until receiving an e-mail about it yesterday.
With the SPG Spice It Up promo, you can:
- Earn double Starpoints by spending $10 or mroe at participating restaurants.
- Get an additional 250 Starpoints every time you spend $200 or more.
Some Rules:
- You need to register by July 15, 2015
- Earn double Starpoints on eligible food & beverage purchases until July 31, 2015

While at home do you dine at hotel restaurants? We rarely do unless a good restaurant just happens to be located inside one. For example, we dined at the restaurant Reynard, inside the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn recently.
