We’re a little over a week into the new year and I hope that it is going well for everyone.
I’ve booked another flight for the middle of the year. With my United voucher from when we were stuck in Oslo expiring in a couple of months , I wanted to be sure to find the right match for it. Mission accomplished. I’ll be writing about how I used it soon. This makes it 5 flights that are already booked for 2015. On this most recent booking, I’ll be going without Kim and Lucas.
This is a big day for Lucas Miles. It’s his 3rd birthday!
His third birthday is a 3 day celebration. (Get the theme!) On Friday we had a little party in school for him. Yesterday was a party with family and today is his actual birthday and a day to celebrate with just Mommy and Daddy!
Lucas continues to amaze me day in and day out!
And now, it’s time to look back at this past week’s posts in a recap that I call The Rehash!
We had a great year of travel last year. Find out- Where did we go in 2014? Feel free to share where you went in 2014 in the comments below.
With all of the controversy related to the Sony hack would anyone be crazy enough to try Smuggling The Interview into North Korea. I know that I wouldn’t want to get caught.
While on the topic of North Korea, how about some wacky South Korea news: American praises North Korea, being deported from S. Korea.
This is the message I love to receive- An e-mail bringing 40,000 miles of good news.
I’ve been trying to thin out my stack of credit cards in anticipation of applying for many more in 2015. Here is a Citi AA Amex retention offer, No Thanks.
While the food offerings at airports have improved greatly check out this Frequent Fliers guide to airport eating.
This kind of advice can be used for many things in life not just miles and points. Points being reinstated, it never hurts to ask.
Find out about the Top events in each state For 2014. Get some travel inspiration from the NY Times 52 Places To Go in 2015.
Here is one of the crazier inflight stories I’ve read recently: Suicide on JetBlue flight stopped by cops flying home from NYPD funeral.
I can’t imagine receiving a bill for a $908 cab ride & the passenger would Uber again.
Be careful when exchanging money in airports in major European cities. There are reports of crappy exchange rates at ATMs in European airports.
Check out this JetBlue videos teach flight etiquette.
We’ll end the recap finding out- Can Buzzfeed guess which U.S. region you are from?
I hope that everyone has a great week and that you’ll keep checking back for daily new posts here at Michael W Travels!
