I received an e-mail from United about this program a while back and totally forgot to write about it. With the offer expiring at the end of the month, there is still some time left to help.
United is looking to help children in need but they also could use some help from us. With the United Adventure Bear Program, the airline’s mission is “to bring smiles to children in need across the globe”.
United collaborated with GUND to create the limited edition Ben Flyin bears.
Money raised from the program will go to the Happy Hearts Fund, “a non-profit foundation dedicated to rebuilding schools after natural disasters”.
How can you help?
There are three ways to do so by July 31, 2014:
- Give a bear, get a bear: By donating $40 you will receive a Ben Flyin bear as well as send one to a child in need. ($23.87 is tax-deductible)
- Give a bear: Donate $20 and an Adventure Bear will be sent to a child in need. (100% tax-deductible)
- Make a 100% tax-deductible donation: Give any $$$ amount to Happy Hearts Fund.
Bears will be delivered in September and October.
If you’d like to participate in the program, donations must be received by July 31.
