I joined American Airlines Business Extra a couple of years back and earned some free points and a bunch more through a cheap promotion.
Since earning those points, I haven’t earned any more. The main way to earn points with AA Business Extra is by flying where you’ll earn 2 points for every $10 spent on eligible flights. I haven’t earned any more points since I haven’t bought a flight on AA in close to 2 years.
With the points that I’ve earned, I can redeem them for:
- 300 points– Admirals Club Day Pass– With Amex Platinum losing lounge access these can be quite valuable now. (Although many of us have since gotten the AA Exec Platinum card.) I have enough points for 5 passes.
- 650 points– Upgrade within North America or between North America & Hawaii or Caribbean (one segment)
- 900 points– Admirals Club Conference Room– 2 hours rental
- 1,200 points– Upgrade between North America and Europe, S. America, C. America or Asia (Except India) (Full Fare)
A little about AA Business Extra: (from the site)
The Business Extra program is a complimentary business travel rewards and incentive program designed to help small and mid-sized companies to reduce their travel costs. Business Extra members earn points for their company’s air travel which can be redeemed for flights and other exciting awards.
You can earn both Business Extra points as well as AAdvantage miles for flights so there is nothing to lose by joining, especially since it is free!
What’s in it for you? My 5 friends will EACH get 1,000 AA Business Extra points! That’s enough for 3 Admirals Club day passes or a couple of other awards.
I have until March 31, 2014 to send out my referrals but would like to submit them within the next few days.
If you’re interested in being referred to AA Business Extra and getting 1,000 point for signing up, leave a comment below.
I’ll randomly select 5 commenters to send the referrals to.
Please comment by February 18 to be in the running.
