US Airways is running a promo that gets you a 100% bonus when you buy miles.  The miles are not cheap but this promo makes it a decent deal. If you need to top off your account for an award, this might be the time to buy some miles.

The minimum amount  you can buy is 1,000 which costs $35 but you will also get an additional 1,000 miles as a bonus. The maximum bonus is 40,000 miles so you will get that bonus regardless of buying 40,000 or 50,000 miles which is the most you can buy.

40,000 miles cost $1400 which doesn’t sound like such a bad deal when you add the 40,000 miles bonus. Each mile will cost you around $.017 each.
