Amazon is typically our go-to place to shop online for just about anything. With good prices and speedy delivery if you have Amazon Prime, you can get your items easier than going to the store.
I also like the fact that we get 5X points for shopping at Amazon. (Purchase Amazon gift cards at Staples using a Chase Ink card and boom, you’re earning 5X points!)
So how are packages delivered so efficiently? Items are mainly sent from an Amazon Fulfillment Center.
If you’re curious to “see what happens after you click buy” then you’d probably be interested in taking an Amazon Fulfillment Center tour!
Some info about the tours:
- Tours last around one hour.
- Open to anyone 6 years of age and up.
- Tours are offered on the first and third Tuesday each month at 10AM & 2PM local time.
Tours are offered at six locations:
- San Bernardino, CA
- Phoenix, AZ
- Chattanooga, TN
- Chester, VA
- Jeffersonville, IN
- Middletown, DE
While looking into booking a tour of an Amazon Fulfillment Center, the closest location to home (Brooklyn, NY) would be the Middleton, DE location. As of now it said that no tours were currently available but more dates for 2017 would be released in June.
Tours can currently be scheduled for the Jeffersonville, IN location and tours can be booked in 2017 for Chester, VA.
No tours were currently scheduled for the other three locations- Chatanooga, TN, Phoenix, AZ or San Bernardino, CA. The site said to check back for an updated tour schedule.
(Tours are also offered in various countries around Europe: Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Poland and the UK.)
I’d love to take an Amazon Fulfillment Center Tour in the future. Would you?
