We’re all used to seeing the concierge desk at hotels but how about the fish valet? Yes, there really is a fish valet at one hotel in Vancouver.

Conde Naste Traveler put together an entertaining slideshow featuring some of the most interesting (bizarre) hotel assistant jobs that exist around the world.

Here are the jobs:

• Fish Valet– Fairmont Vancouver Airport: Oversees the storage and packing of guests’ self-caught bounty so that they can make the journey home with you. The hotel could handle up to 3,000 pounds on a busy day.
• Tartan Butler– The Balmoral in Edinburgh, Scotland: Guests interested in exploring their own lineage need only provide Fraser with the names of any known Scottish ancestors before they arrive, giving him time to research the official tartan, set up a visit to ScotlandsPeople Centre to search more than 80 million public records, and arrange for a kilt fitting.
• Fragrance Butler– Rosewood Hotels (Various locations): Guests need only ring the fragrance butler to be presented with an array of designer scents (think Chanel No. 5 for the ladies and Tom Ford’s Black Orchid for the gentlemen), served up on a silver tray and free for the spritzing, 24 hours a day.
• Art Basel Concierge– Ritz Carlton South Beach- Miami, FL: Attends and learns all about the various shows at the 4 day Art Basel Festival and tailor guest’s itineraries as well as other concierge duties. The concierge also gives tours of the hotel’s art collection twice per day.
• Sleep Conierge– The Benjamin- NYC: The main goal of this job is to help guests get a good nights sleep. They’ll help you pick from a choice of 12 pillows and offer the Executive Nap- Our sleep team will come in midday and lower all of the shades, turn down the bed, set up a white noise machine and decrease the temperature in the room—all to set the stage for an optimum sleep environment.”
• Soap Concierge– The Viceroy Riviera Maya- Mexico: Helps guests select the optimal soaps for their stay by speaking with guests and making recommendations based on their plans and personality. All soaps are cut to order. 
• Bath Butler– Gansevoort Park Ave & Meatpacking- NYC: An expert in all things salts and oils, who is dispatched to your room to concoct a soothing tub full of ingredients—whether that means a dash of Burdock root or a cup full of black pepper.
• Ski Butler– Kristiania Lech- Lech, Voralberg, Austria: Ski butlers keep you informed of the latest weather conditions and offer advice on how to make the most out of your day; boot butlers remove, clean and store your gear for tomorrow’s time on the slopes; and a ski concierge oversees it all, helping to provide guests with a one-of-a-kind experience.
• Fireplace Butler– Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado- Santa Fe, NM: A fireplace butler—decked out in flannel, of course—will take care of the in-room ambience. He arrives with a burlap log holder full of locally sourced wood and lighting supplies plus a cup of hot cider or chocolate.
• Tea Butler– The Pfister Hotel- Milwaukee, WI: From November- March the hotel offers an afternoon tea service. The tea butler teaches guests about the nuances of their many varieties of tea, suggests food and flavor pairings, and personalizes the experience by blending the teas tableside.
