A Visit To Armenia’s Stonehenge, Zorats Karer

stonehengeA lot of mystery surrounds Stonehenge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in England.

The site consists of burial mounds and massive standing stones set up in a ring. Stonehenge is one of the most famous pre-historic monuments built around 2500 BC.

During our summer trip to six former Soviet states, we ended our journey in Armenia.

While visiting Armenia, we hired a guide & driver to take us to the unrecognized republic of Nagorno- Karabakh. (More on that another time.)
