Kim and I are slowly putting together our plans for this year’s winter break trip.

With no deals to be found on flights- award or paid, we’ll be going on a road trip. Our plan is to visit two new states. This will move us closer to one of our goals to visit all of the states in the US. We’ll also (most likely) visit other areas in 2-3 states that we’ve previously been to.

I hope that everyone in the U.S. had an enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend. We enjoyed the extra couple of days off from work, although it never seems like enough! For those of you who traveled, hopefully you didn’t get stuck due to the bad weather.

Over the weekend we did something fun for both kids and adults.

We stopped by one of the top places for pizza in NJ (and the country), Bread and Salt Bakery in Jersey City and then checked out the Liberty Science Center. I’m not usually a fan of science museums, but this one was pretty interesting with some appealing exhibits for adults. On Saturday, Lucas and I headed over to Pig Beach in Gowanus, Brooklyn for an awesome charity barbecue event in honor of Chef Carl Ruiz who recently and unexpectedly passed away.

As the holidays quickly approach, Kim and I are trying to figure out what to do during winter break.
