10,000 Club Carlson Points For Late Check-In & No Welcome Gift

Club Carlson LogoLast week we spent a couple of nights at the Radisson Blu Bucharest during our current trip Back to The Balkans.

I booked our two-night stay for a total of 38,000 Gold Points. (38,000 points is the cost for one night but thanks to the stay 1, get 1 bonus for Club Carlson credit card holders that is all we paid for our full stay.)

During check-in there were some issues which seemed to be poorly handled by the staff. Official check-in time is 3:00pm and we arrived at around 3:30. Upon check-in we were given a choice of which floor we’d like to be on and a silly question of whether we’d like a king or queen bed. In the #HashtagHotel promo, Club Carlson gave away 1,000 bonus Gold Points to the first 15,000 people who connected using Twitter and followed @ClubCarlson and filled out a sign-up form.

This offer was the pre-cursor to the main element of the promo, the 24 Hour Twitter Party.

10,000 Gold Points Or Club Carlson Welcome Gift

On our trip to Germany back in September we stayed in two Club Carlson properties in Berlin. We stayed at the art’otel Berlin Mitte and the Radisson Blu Berlin. Being a Club Carlson Gold member, I expected an In-Room Welcome Gift during our stay. I didn’t think that we received a gift at either property and was a bit surprised.

On previous stays at Club Carlson properties, we’ve received gifts like fruit plates (delivered to our room) and gift bags filled with a generous amount of snacks and water.

This made me wonder if the In-Room Welcome Gift was only available for stays in the United States. I am pretty sure that we received a gift during our stays in Russia (Moscow & Saint Petersburg) earlier in the year but I wasn’t positive.
