Welcome Delta Points Readers

When Rene asked me to write a guest post about the changes going on at Delta’s Terminal 4 at JFK Airport, I was happy to oblige. Rene writes all about Delta on his blog Delta Points. My post talks a little about the changes coming to T4 and the impressive food options that will make just about anyone want to stop by for a meal before their flight.

I want to welcome all of the new readers coming from Delta Points to my blog and of course, thank my regular (awesome) readers for their support!

I’d like to invite you all to take some time to check out my blog. I hope that you will like what you see and come back, making Michael W Travels a part of your daily blog reading list.

Michael W Travels was started in October 2011 as a place to keep you informed about most things travel.

My content varies daily. I like to cover topics ranging from trip reports & planning, miles & points offers, travel with kids (my son is 14 months old), travel news, offers & contests and quirky posts like Jumping Pics & Ridiculous Street Signs

A New Home For Michael W Travels

a house with a sold sign

I just wanted to mention that the home of Michael W Travels changed last Sunday.

For all of you that have my blog bookmarked or saved to an RSS feed you can now find me at

It only took 9 months to change the site from .blogspot to .com. After trying on my own to switch it many different times I had to call in the help of an expert to get the change made.
(Thanks Richard K.!) I guess this shows just how tech savvy I am!

In other news I plan to be adding a newsletter which will be sent out from time to time.
I’ll be sending it out when I hear about a great deal or offer for now. In the future I might add a weekly or bi-weekly mailing.

If you are interested in signing up for my newsletter, you can do so HERE

Happy Birthday To….

Today I am celebrating the first birthday of Michael W Travels. I can’t believe that it’s already been a year but it’s been a really fun and busy one!

I started my blog as a place to keep you informed about most things travel. No travel-related topic is off limits and my content varies from day to day.

Some Topics I Cover:

  • Travel News
  • Mileage offers & bonuses
  • Travel Contests (I’ve even ran a few myself)
  • Trip Reports
  • Photos from my travels around the world
  • More…

Some Highlights:

A few months after starting the blog, I wrote about A New Kind of Miles. I was thrilled to introduce you to my favorite kind of miles- my son Lucas Miles! Lucas Miles W. took his first flight at less than 3 months old. He has been a great travel partner and has flown over 30,000 miles already. Lucas has joined Kim and I on flights to Barbados, South Dakota and Southeast Asia (Singapore, Bali & Malaysia). Lucas turned 9 months old yesterday.

Some Posts of Interest:

I want to thank everyone for all of their support in making my first year blogging a success!

I also want to thank Kim for being an amazing wife, mom and great editor!
